The Timberlook Mocha is the warm, natural choice in our Premium Sealed concrete sleeper range — a moulded timber-grain face in a rich brown mocha tone that pairs beautifully with hardwood decking, timber paling fences, gravel paths, and native or cottage-style gardens. In 50 years of supplying retaining wall products across Australia, the Mocha timber-look is consistently the most popular finish for residential garden walls where the sleeper face is part of the finished landscape.
Each sleeper is Australian-made from steel-reinforced concrete rated 40+ MPa with 2 Reo bars, in a standard 200mm high × 75mm thick profile. The gloss-sealed timber-grain face gives the warmth and texture of timber without any of the maintenance — no oiling, no staining, no rot, no termites.

Note on sizing: The stated length is the distance between post centres, not the physical sleeper length. The actual sleeper is approximately 10–15mm shorter so it seats correctly into the steel posts at each end. Each course is 200mm high — plan 5 sleepers per metre of wall height, per bay.
Inadequate drainage is the leading cause of retaining wall failure in Australia. Every wall must include a free-draining aggregate zone, geotextile fabric, and slotted ag pipe to a legal outlet. Walls over 1m in height typically require a building permit and engineer certification in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, and SA — always confirm with your local council before starting. What does the Timberlook Mocha finish look like?
A moulded timber-grain relief face in a warm brown mocha tone — similar in appearance to oiled hardwood or treated pine, but in a consistent, sealed concrete finish. The grain texture runs horizontally across the sleeper face, mimicking the look of natural timber boards.
Does the Mocha finish fade over time?
The gloss-sealed finish significantly reduces UV fading compared to unsealed concrete. Some natural weathering and lightening occurs over many years of sun exposure, as with all exterior concrete products. The sealed surface can be re-sealed if desired to restore the original depth of colour.
How many sleepers do I need?
Five sleepers per metre of wall height, per bay. For a 10m wall at 1m high with 2000mm post spacing: 5 sleepers × 5 bays = 25 sleepers. Always add 5–10% for cuts and wastage.
Which posts do I need with these sleepers?
