The Sandstone Storm Grey is the architectural choice in our Premium Sealed concrete sleeper range — a textured stone-block face finish in a deep, cool grey tone that suits modern homes, rendered walls, charcoal fencing, and high-contrast landscape designs. In 50 years of supplying retaining wall products across Australia, this finish consistently draws attention on feature walls and boundary retaining walls where the sleeper face is fully visible.
Each sleeper is Australian-made from steel-reinforced concrete rated 40+ MPa with 2 Reo bars, in a standard 200mm high × 75mm thick profile. The gloss-sealed face is more polished than plain concrete, easier to keep clean, and holds its colour better over time than unsealed alternatives.

Note on sizing: The stated length is the distance between post centres, not the physical sleeper length. The actual sleeper is approximately 10–15mm shorter so it seats correctly into the steel posts at each end. Each course is 200mm high — plan 5 sleepers per metre of wall height, per bay.

What does the Sandstone Storm Grey finish look like?

How many sleepers do I need?
Five sleepers per metre of wall height, per bay. For a 10m wall at 1m high with 2000mm post spacing: 5 sleepers × 5 bays = 25 sleepers. Always add 5–10% for cuts and wastage.
Which posts do I need with these sleepers?
C-channel PFC posts for walls under 1m in stable soil. H-beam UC posts for walls over 1m, reactive clay soils, or any wall with surcharge load (driveways, vehicles, structures). See our steel post range.
