Warranty Information

Retaining Walls Direct supplies premium concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts manufactured to Australian Standards. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to resolving any genuine product defects promptly and fairly.

Concrete Sleepers

Our concrete sleepers are manufactured to the specified MPa rating (40MPa, 50MPa, or 60MPa) and reinforced with high-tensile steel to AS/NZS 4671. Sleepers are warranted against manufacturing defects including:

  • Structural cracking not caused by installation, impact, or overloading
  • Compressive strength below the specified MPa rating
  • Reinforcement placement outside manufacturing tolerances

Not covered: damage caused by incorrect installation, overloading beyond design specification, impact damage during handling or installation, or cracking caused by inadequate drainage and hydrostatic pressure buildup behind the wall.

Steel Posts

Our steel posts are hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 4680 and manufactured from structural grade steel to AS/NZS 3678. Posts are warranted against:

  • Galvanising thickness below AS/NZS 4680 minimum requirements
  • Structural defects in the steel section

Not covered: corrosion caused by contact with incompatible materials (e.g. untreated timber, dissimilar metals), damage caused by incorrect installation or overloading, or surface rust on cut ends (cut ends should be treated with cold galvanising compound after cutting).

Installation Responsibility

Correct installation is the responsibility of the installer. For walls over 1.0m, always engage a structural engineer. See our Regulations Guide for state-by-state requirements.
